The Free State MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism (Destea), Ketso Makume, was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Sunday (19/4) on the N5 between Paul Roux and Senekal.
The incident reportedly occurred when a wild animal crossed the road unexpectedly, resulting in a collision.
According to Destea, the MEC and his protectors did not sustain any serious injuries. “We are relieved to report that the MEC and both his protectors escaped without sustaining any serious injuries,” the department said, while also requesting privacy for those involved as they recover.
