The Mangaung Metro Municipality invites every artist in the city of roses – who submitted registration forms – for the general meeting to be hosted by the Creative & Cultural Industries Federation of South Africa (CCIFSA). According to a statement released by the municipality the meeting was initially scheduled for February this year but has been moved to 8 March 2019 (tomorrow).
The statement furthers says that the purpose of this general meeting is to discuss CCIFSA’s Memorandum of Incorporation (MOI) and elect delegates for the provincial summit and eventually the national conference.
CCIFSA is the formal organisation of the arts and culture fraternity which was officially launched in 2014 at the University of Free State. This is an NPO which was formed to promote and develop the social and economic interest of the cultural and creative industries and to act as the controlling body of these sectors.
The Mangaung District General meeting will take place at 8am at the Indaba Auditorium, Bram Fischer Building. – Sazly Hartzenberg
