A Bloemfontein branch of the SA Council for Business Women (SACBW) is being founded. They invite all business women to their meeting on the 8th of July from 18:00 to 20:00 in the Odeion at the University of the Free State. Jana du Plessis from Finesse and Rothea van Biljon, Business Woman of the Year 2012, will be guests at the gathering.
Isabel-Anne Meeding the chairperson of the Bloemfontein branch, says the SACBW was established in 1985 with the intention and goal to establish an organisation that represents women in business and create a vehicle for women to network, learn from each other, grow and mentor other women in the field of business.
The slogan “Unlocking Potential” is key to this organisation as it is the explicit goal of this organisation to see women grow into the full potential they were created with and to see them reach their goals and succeed in business.
Another highlight of this council is the annual “Business Woman of the Year” award that has recognised the
accomplishments of outstanding women in business in South Africa.
As part of the SA Council for Business Women’s commitment to see women succeed, the role
of uplifting and recognising women for their outstanding accomplishments in business has
been fulfilled by the “Business Woman of the Year” competition that is held on an annual
basis.
Business women have until 30 July to enter for the Business Women of the Year 2013 competition.
