Learners recently visited the National Museum to explore the fascinating world of animal senses through fun, interactive, and educational presentations designed to make learning accessible and engaging.
Special needs schools are encouraged to arrange educational visits. “We even have an elevator to assist learners in wheelchairs,” the museum said.
During the sessions, learners from Martie du Plessis Special School had the opportunity to touch some of the animals, identify unique or interesting senses, and learn fascinating facts about how animals use them.
“After the lesson these learners were able to do a self-tour through the Museum and see the many animals in the permanent exhibition areas.”
Schools interested in participating in the programmes can contact 051 447 9609 for more information.
