Police are looking for more than ten suspects who are wanted in connection with gunpoint robberies where cell phones were stolen from various shops in Thabong and Welkom.
The police report that during March, June, October, November and December 2017 the men targeted cell phone shops at Goldfields Mall in Welkom and Boitumelo Mall in Thabong.
“The suspects in these cases use the same modus operandi where they will enter the shops, and while workers are busy assisting customers, they will pull out firearms and force them into the store rooms and take various cell phones and tablets and run away,” explained police spokesperson Captain Stephen Thakeng.
