The annual Moments concert will take place at the Sand du Plessis Theatre in Bloemfontein on 1 and 2 June this year. Music lovers can look forward to a selection of up-beat, iconic music, which promises to find favour with the audience.
If songs like “Footloose”, “Take me back”, “Granada” and “Master Jack” sound familiar, Moments is a show not to be missed.
As always, the very talented Willie Venter will make sure that local talent are invested into this upcoming show. For the third year in a row, Bloemfontein will host this brilliant production, produced and written by Willie Venter and assisted by Ella Kotze. Venter told Courant, “My shows are always something new and exciting to look forward to.”
Moments set to be a “party” show that will make you dance in the isles. Once again the best voices will join on stage to celebrate “The Power of Music”. The men’s Accapella group, Take Note, and their “aca-sisters”, Bliss Acapella, will leave the audience in awe.
The world famous Morgan the Beatboxer, one of the best beatboxers in the world performing well in the entertainment industry and who has also performed at the Paralympics in 2018, is sure to put the beat back into your step!
The very talented presenter from Ontbytsake, Eloise Cupido, Lelo Ramasimong, current lead in Colour Purple and previous lead in Dream Girls, as well as Jennifer Jones, first South- African to be nominated for a Grammy award who also performed with big names like Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Britany Huston and many more, will be part of this production.
Other well-known artists like Sonja Herholdt, Corlea Botha and Jannie Moolman and local talent like Ella Kotze and Jacobus Silwer will add some local flavour to the Moments show. Mario Lategan, Thabo Hlongwane, Margie Anderson, Huibrie Verster, On-Que (Winray Fortuin) and Ilse-Louise Herholdt will also perform in the show.
Four school choirs will provide a sense of young talent, namely Fichardt Park, Brebner Primary School Choir, St Michaels Girls’ Choir and the Bloemfontein Children’s Choir. Willie Venter Dancers and Louise Fourie Dance Studio will be a sight for sore eye and the talented musical director, Anton Esterhuize, will be also entertain the audience.
