Patients and visitors of Mediclinic Bloemfontein can look forward to more available parking space when visiting their preferred Health Care Centre.
Mediclinic Bloemfontein has started with the construction of a modernly designed Parking Garage as well as a state of the art Day Hospital. This project is expected to be completed by July 2020.
During this 12 month construction period, patients and visitors are encouraged to make use of the Three Hours Free Parking in all covered parking areas of Mimosa Mall.
Mediclinic Bloemfontein employees have already been moved across to the Mimosa Parking garage.
This newly built parking garage will consist of a ground level with four additional parking decks as well as two lifts for easy access to the Hospital for patients and visitors. After completion, the Parking Garage will boast an amazing 750 new parking bays. This means that the total available parking bays at Mediclinic Bloemfontein will significantly increase to 1250.
There will be two entrances and exit lanes from Third Avenue, thus adding another entrance from Third Avenue, as well as an exit lane for doctors and personnel in Kellner Street.
A new Day Hospital will also be constructed on the premises under the current Intensive Care Units.
The Day Hospital will consist of 30 day beds and three well equipped surgical theaters, as well as an Endoscopy Unit with two procedure rooms.
The new day hospital will be easily accessible from the parking garage, as well as the open parking area and will be close to the doctor’s rooms. It will be part of the bigger complex, but operated as an independent entity with its own reception area.
“As management we believe that this project and improvements will significantly improve the experience of our patients and clients”, said Barbara Steenkamp, Patient Experience Manager at Mediclinic Bloemfontein.
