Mangaung Metro gives clothes to child-headed families

Bloemfontein – The member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Social Development,  Maditaba Matsoetlane, will hand over clothing to less-fortunate children from child-headed households today in Mangaung.

Approximately 100 children will be beneficiaries. The handover will take place at the Silver City Offices in Phahameng.

The clothes are proceeds from the Mangaung clothing bank launched by executive mayor Thabo Manyoni in July last year. The initiative was started to alleviate the burden on the less-privileged citizens of Mangaung.

The clothing bank is made possible by donations from both the public and private sector as well residents of Mangaung.
