Universitas Academic Hospital in Bloemfontein, in association with The Smile Foundation, will be hosting Smile Week, whereby they will be treating twenty-six children with facial anomalies throughout the week. Procedures that are to be performed include cleft lip and palate reconstruction as well as ear reconstruction. According to the Executive Director of the Smile Foundation, Hedley Lewis, the week is sponsored by the Vodacom foundation in an effort to make a difference in the lives of these children and their families. Smile week will continue until September 5.
