ANC Motheo Regional Secretary Paseka Nompondo says land issue remains a critical matter.
Nompondo says the ANC has made a policy shift around land issues at the 53rd national ANC conference that took place in Cape Town earlier this year. Nompondo was speaking at the launch of the Freedom Charter Forum in Bloemfontein on Tuesday. He says the ANC is planning to robustly implement the clauses within the Freedom Charter, especially the land clause.
“The question of the buyer willing seller has not worked for the ANC. We now got to ensure that the land is in the hands of the people. This matter remains a challenge,” he says.
Nompondo emphasized the importance of ANC members to identify the Freedom Charter. The provincial Freedom Charter launch will be on 27 July.
