Jacques Strydom to be laid to rest

Since the announcement of the passing of Jacques Strydom, social media has been abuzz with friends, family and colleagues sharing fond memories and lessons that he taught them that they will carry with them forever.

One sentiment that each message shared is that even though Jacques was a well-established businessman, he was always willing to assist the next person and was always willing to assist where he can.

Engo Free State stated on their Facebook page: “Our deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Jacques Strydom from Human Auto Ford Bloemfontein and Be Human – Middelwater Farm. On behalf of Engo, we say thank you for your selfless contribution, the difference you have made in thousands of lives, and the hope you have created for others on a daily basis. May your legacy live on in the hearts of those you touched.”

Pine Pienaar, Group Franchise Executive at Human Auto, explained that Jacques was at his happiest around the Saddlebred horse circles. “He always chose to spend most of his time on his farm with his family.”

Jacques was the third generation in charge of this family business and under his leadership, Human Auto won the Dealer Group of the Year title at the Ford Dealer of the Year awards for four consecutive years, as well as numerous other awards.

The CEO of Central Media Group, Nick Efstathiou, said Jacques was a beacon of hope, dedicated to charitable initiatives that have uplifted many communities. He had an unselfish commitment to making a lasting impact on countless lives.

“With a heart as big as his ambitions, Jacques Strydom stands as a testament to the power of giving back, proving that true success is measured not just by wealth, but by the lives he has touched. He has nurtured incredible people, working autonomously in his businesses. His belief in his people speaks to the success they bring to market every day and they will continue to do so for many years to come.”

His life will be celebrated at the Be Human Middelwater Farm on Sunday, 16 February, at 11:00.
