Human settlements to brief public on PIE Act amendment in Free State

The Free State Department of Human Settlements will host public information sessions to invite comments on the Draft Amendment Bill of the Prevention of Illegal Eviction from and Unlawful Occupation of Land (PIE) Act 19 of 1998.

The sessions aim to engage communities and gather input on suggested changes to the legislation addressing unlawful occupation of land and eviction processes.

The department announced that the first session will take place on Wednesday 3 June from 09:00 to 10:00 at Floreat Hall in Bloemfontein, followed by a second session on 4 June from 09:00 to 10:00 at the Dihlabeng Town Hall in Bethlehem.
