The Henneman police has requested the assistance of community members after 33-year-old Ntomosana Sara Berries went missing on 28 February 2021. Berries was last seen by her sister at the Phomolong Taxi Rank in Henneman.
According to police spokesperson, Brigadier Motantsi Makhele, Berries was making her way to Bloemfontein to visit her other sister. “Ntomosana got into a taxi going to Hennenman in order for her to go to Welkom so that she catch another taxi that would take her straight to Bloemfontein,” said Makhele.
Berries’ sister contacted her at around 19:00 the same day to enquire if she arrived safely in Bloemfontein but her phone went to voicemail. She then contacted their sister in Bloemfontein to ask about Berries’ arrival but was informed that she never arrived at her destination.
The family visited the Welkom Taxi Rank to check the taxi register but Berries’ name was not on the list and her cell phone has been on voice mail ever since.
“A missing person’s file has been opened by the Hennenman police for further investigation. Anyone who knows Berries’ whereabouts can contact Detective Constable Letshabo Seoe of the Hennenman Detective Services at 057 573 9100 or 064 581 9711,” concluded Makhele.
