Free State premier to visit bereaved family of murdered teacher

The Free State Premier, Sefora Ntombela, is expected to visit the family of the 35-year-old Physical Science teacher, Ms Matefo Mphosela, who was fatally stabbed – allegedly by her Grade 12 learner last week Thursday at her home in Soutpan.

According to the statement released by the Office of the Premier, the premier will visit the bereaved family today, following the accused’s appearance in the Brandfort Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

“The scourge of gender-based violence and femicide continue to rob us of the incredible people who are contributing immensely towards the development of our society, particularly our kids in this instance,” said Ntombela.

The premier is expected to visit the family of the deceased at 16:00 in Botshabelo on Monday.

Ntombela extended her deepest condolences to the late teacher’s father and her entire family.
