Exciting Youth Day ahead with HDLAC

Excitement is brewing as the community gears up for the second annual fundraiser sports day which will be held at Heide Primary by the Heidedal Local Drug Awareness Campaign (HLDAC) on 16 June 2018.

Schools taking part include Brebner Primary, Heide Primary, Thjebelopele Primary, Joe Solomon Primary, Credence Primary, and Olympia Primary. With two community teams; Oceans XI soccer academy and Saints Soccer joining in the fun.

Those in attendance can also expect a musical item from Musicon and a dance and drama item from the Entie Community Development Group. There will also be a short play by Victory Outreach. The sports items include Karate, Chess, netball and soccer.

Entrance is free and all are welcome to support the children. Proceeds from the day will go towards building a cricket practice pitch to offer children more extra-mural options.

“The main thing we want to achieve with this outreach day is to get to the kids before the drugs do,” stated HDLAC Chairperson, Gregory Werner.
