The Danish national, arrested for allegedly storing female genital parts in his freezer, has been denied bail.
Magistrate Marlene Marais has ruled that Peter Frederiksen will stay behind bars in the Grootvlei Prison outside Bloemfontein.
Marais said Frederiksen's release may lead to public disorder. She also said he has a blatant disregard for authority and she has no doubt that he will not adhere to bail conditions, should bail be granted. Marais further said Frederiksen's ties in Lesotho are of great concern to the court.
He will be back in court on January 13. – Owen Kock
