The brother to one of the top officials in the Free State police has been found dead, with a bullet wound to the head.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear, but police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele, confirms the lifeless body of Khotso Lesia – a middle-aged Methodist Reverend and police chaplain – was found in a sitting position on Friday night, with his service pistol next to him.
Reports indicate he was found in his work office, after he failed to make it home. Makhele says while no foul play is suspected, an inquest into the matter has been opened for further investigation.
Khotso is the brother to Major General Solly Lesia who is a part of police management in the province, and the brother of accused number 5 in the murder trial of Bloemfontein businessman, Louis Siemens – Bayswater Captain Moeketsi Lesia.
