Bloemfontein Courant lent a helping hand to local dance group, House of Dirty Shakers. As part of their support for local arts, Courant donated much needed knee pads to the group, who will be staging their third major dance production for this year, Naked, at the André Huguenet Theatre from 27 until 29 September 2017.
The dancers where excited to receive the knee pads as they are now confident their showcase will be a performance to remember. They put them on immediately as they tried them out with a few dance moves.
Zane Muller, director of the show, says rehearsals have been going well, and they are more than ready to entertain dance lovers. “We moved into the theatre a week prior to the show. We are just doing stage and lights right now. So we are sorted. We are excited and we want the audience to be educated when they leave here, have a better perspective of themselves and of dance in general.”
Muller says tickets are still available, and he advises theatregoers not to wait until the last minute to get them. Tickets are available from the Pacofs booking office at R60 (pre-sold) and R80 at the door.
The show will start at 19:00 on 27, 28, 29 September 2017 at Pacofs’ André Huguenet Theatre. “We are extremely excited because for us this is a new level that we never thought of reaching, up until we actually reached it,” concluded Muller.
