A student from the University of the Free State has been taken to hospital after she was hit by a Nissan bakkie just outside the main gate of the university earlier this morning.
Paramedics arrived on the scene quickly and were able to stabalise the student on the scene, before she was taken to hospital.
According to an eye witness who wants to remain anonymous, the student crossed the road with earphones plugged into her ears. She allegedly also did not look if it was safe before she crossed the road. The driver hooted, but couldn’t stop in time.
