Alleged Bfn drug dealer remanded in custody

Onyeka Henry Orji (31) is expected to appear in the Bloemfontein Regional Court on Thursday 2 May 2019 for his bail application. Orji has been arrested over the weekend by the Bloemfontein K9 unit, following a search and seizure operation for allegedly dealing in drugs.

The Hawks’ South African Narcotics Enforcement Bureau (SANEB), will be conducting further investigations following Orji’s arrest and the subsequent recovery of narcotics (valued at a substantial amount) from a Mercedes-Benz that was parked at a local storage facility in Bainsvlei.

The search of the vehicle uncovered almost R70 000 in cash and a variety of drugs; 144 grams of TIK, 32 grams of cocaine, 6 grams of CAT, 3 Half-moon tablets, 175 Ecstasy tablets and 97 bags of methcathinone, which were seized together with the said vehicle.
