Accident claims life of POPCRU Provincial Chairperson

The Provincial Commissioner of the Free State, Lieutenant-General Baile Motswenyane, sent out message of condolences to those near to Pakiso Mokalapa, the Provincial Chairperson in the Free State for the Police and Prisons Civil Rights Union (POPCRU).

This comes after Mokalapa had lost his life on Saturday 17 October 2020 in a motor vehicle accident. Commissioner Motswenyane expressed her deepest sympathy on behalf of the Free State SAPS Management. “May the care and love of those around you provide comfort and peace to get you through the days ahead,” she said.

According to police spokesperson Brigadier Motantsi Makhele, Commissioner Motswenyane further appreciated the time that the family ‘lent’ him to the organisation and the contribution he had made to the South African Police Service as a shop steward and the stalwart he was in ensuring compliance to Covid 19 workplace regulations.
