Unidentified body discovered in NC

The Northern Cape police are asking for assistance in identifying the body of an unknown man.

OFM News reports that the police spokesperson, Sergio Kock, says the body was recovered from a river outside Douglas last week. He says the body was taken for an autopsy and new information on the case will be expected today.

He says he could be around 30 and 40 years old, dark in complexion, medium built and 1.7 meters tall. He was also dressed in a checkers shirt, brown pants, and black Adidas takkies. Anyone with information is asked to call the Douglas detectives on 082-301-9978.

This follows after the body of a missing toddler was found in the Vaal River near Delportshoop in Kimberley in the Northern Cape earlier last year.

The two-year-old girl was abducted from her home in Rooikoppies, Delportshoop, on April 20 after a man allegedly threatened to kill and attempted to rape her mother. A stone was tightened around the toddler’s body that was found submerged underwater.
