The Ahmed Kathrada Foundation along with 60 young people from the foundation, will be accompanied by anti-apartheid activist, Ahmed Kathrada to commemorate Youth Day by remembering the lives of the school children who died when the bus they were travelling in plunged into the Westdene Dam 30 years ago.

The programme will include a wreath laying ceremony in memory of the school children who died at the Dam in 1985, followed by a youth-led discussion from Zimbabwe, Uganda and South Africa who’ll share their perspectives on xenophobia.
