Four Honours students from the department of nutrition and dietetics at the University of the Free State (UOFS) did research on child obesity rates in six year olds . The research showed that a shocking one in four school going six year olds is obese. The researchers were Anneke Lauwrens, Monja-Mari Kok, Maryke Ferreira and Keagan Di Ascenzo.
