The Bram Fischer International Airport in Bloemfontein has warned the public to be aware of a vacancy scam that is circulating on social media.
According to the notice shared on the airport’s Facebook page, a fake job advertisement is doing the rounds on social media.
The airport has provided the public with a few tips on how to spot a fake ad. One of the tips warn job-seekers that if the vacancy requires payment, it is likely to be a scam.
How to spot a fake ad, as provided by Bram Fischer International Airport:
- Multiple positions listed on one advertisement
- Contact number “HR” is a cellphone number
- You are asked to make a payment of any fees (uniform, health checks, screening, permits and training).
- We do not advertise vacancies on social media or WhatsApp.
