Prominent boxing trainer, Nick Durandt, has died in a motorbike accident in the Free State. It is suspected that Durant collided with a vehicle on the road between Bethlehem and Clarens.
Police spokesperson, Zweli Morobeledi, says they have opened a case of culpable homicide and are investigating circumstances around the accident. He says there were no other people injured from the accident.
The 53-year-old was the president of the Crusaders Bike Club, and was regarded as one of the most successful trainers in the country. He produced 38 world champions, 27 international champions, and 95 South African champions.
