The Miss Free State SA beauty pageant, which helps to empower and uplift young women, will only be crowning their new winner in 2021.
This comes after long discussions with the management team, who has decided to carry the 2020 title over to 2021. This is due to the limited time spent and contact the organisation had with the current finalists as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The crowning is set to take place in May next year and the public can expect extravagance and excellence as the organisation never disappoints and always dreams bigger. Yolande Koupis told Bloemfontein Courant that Miss Free State SA as a whole will never back up, never let go and no matter what challenges they face, together they will unite and come out stronger.
“Our vision for 2020 was very neutral. We envisioned to portray and highlight the fact that it doesn’t matter what race, colour, language, abilities or even disabilities, you might have, we stand together and unite as a powerful team. Alone you can achieve so much in life, but together you are stronger, more powerful and have a louder voice for what you believe in. So for 2021, we decided that we will be bold, fierce and full of colour,” said Koupis.
The 2020 finalists have been working non-stop and have been keeping themselves busy with tasks and virtual projects. “We also have several workshops and judging is planned for the end of the year, all depending on the state of the current pandemic, but we are optimistic and excited for what’s ahead of us,” concluded Koupis.
