REFILWE MEKOA
The deputy chairperson of the ANC in the Free State, Thabo Manyoni, says he regards chairperson Ace Magashule as a brother.
Manyoni was speaking at the ANC list conference in Welkom and rubbished media speculations that there is a rift between him and premier Magashule. He admitted that they do disagree at times but emphasised that there is no rift.
“As long as Ace Magashule is a leader I feel comfortable given the fact that we come a long way. To me it really doesn’t matter who is the chairperson leading our province presently,” he says.
Magashule has been chairperson since 1992.
“The day when he is not performing, there will be a rift between us. What brought us together is only one thing, we should make sure that we change the lives of ordinary South Africans for the better and I think he’s on the right path,” says Manyoni.
