Magashule to discuss tender allegations

REFILWE MEKOA

Free State Premier Ace Magashule’s spokesperson says he will meet with Magashule today, to discuss media allegations that he was involved in a tender process irregularity.

Oupa Khoabane says they will follow up contents uttered by President Jacob Zuma’s younger brother Michael Zuma, that Magashule assisted him in winning a government tender. The younger Zuma admitted on a radio talk show interview on Monday that Magashule put a good word for him to help his then employers Khumbula Property Services secure the tender.

Zuma was reported saying he was promised a homestead instead of cash for the transaction and conceded his actions were dishonest. During the interview he continued saying that Magashule was very good to him. Khoabane says it makes it hard for him to comment on an interview that he didn’t listen to.

“We are working on it and making a follow-up and we will comment as soon as we have all the details regarding the interview that he had and the comments he made. We can only make comment once we have verified what he said in relation to what we would probably know,” says Khoabane.
