Ixias ring some changes

Bloemfontein – Central University of Technology (CUT), Free State rugby team, Ixias, has named a side to face the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) Impi in the Varsity Shield final on Monday (31 March) at CUT Rugby ground.

Kick-off is at 16:30

Ixias lost to Impi in the last match of round robin, and the Bloemfontein men will be looking to redeem themselves when the two lock horns in space of seven days for a chance at the title.

Charles Hitchcock moves back to fullback in place of Noel Marx, who takes the kicking duties at fly-half. Marx replaces Duan Pretorius, who subsequently moves to left centre in place of Johan Nel.

In other changes, Alec Mhlanga gets a place in the starting line-up as he moves to the right wing in place of captain, Kholo Ramashala.

The skipper takes the left wing position while Johan van Schalkwyk moves to right centre.

Elsewhere, Frans Sisista replaces Moekoa Bofolo while Johann Grundlingh makes way for Vincent Maruping at left and right flank respectively.
