Wildflower Floral Studio, a local eco-friendly florist, owned by Chané van der Westhuizen, will be hosting its Wearable Floral Workshop at May Brew Coffee Shop this Saturday – 21 October.
According to Van der Westhuizen, their florist curates stunning wedding flowers and everyday bouquets, catering to both budget-conscious and luxury-seeking individuals.
“Lately, the growing interest in our floral workshops has truly inspired us to think outside the box. Over the past months, we’ve hosted engaging classes, including bouquet arrangements and enchanting floral crown workshops, at various charming spots throughout Bloemfontein,” she said.

She added that these events are not just about floral artistry, they’re also their way of giving back to the communities that support them. “Plus, our workshops aren’t complete without a warm cup of coffee, sometimes a delightful snack, and the chance for our participants to discover some of the city’s hidden gems,” said Van der Westhuizen.
She also mentioned that as their workshops gained more attention, it became apparent that there was room for something new and different. This is when the idea of the Wearable Floral Workshop was born.
“This is more than just a workshop. It’s an escape from the daily grind, an opportunity to let your creative juices flow, and a chance to become a living canvas for your art. In this unique workshop, you won’t just create beautiful floral pieces, you’ll wear them with pride and capture the memories with a mini photoshoot,” she said.
The upcoming Wearable Floral Workshop will start at 13:00 and tickets are priced at R400. Tickets include all the materials you need, access to a flower buffet where you can handpick your blooms, and a cup of freshly brewed May Brew Coffee.

“Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned artist, our workshop is designed for everyone, regardless of age, gender, or skill level. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm and creativity, and, of course, your photo-ready self,” said Van der Westhuizen.
