GALOOME SHOPANE Police at the Park Road police station have been hit hard by house robbery incidents in places that fall under the police station.
This is according to police spokesperson Chaka Marope.
Marope says there were four house robberies in a period of four succeeding days to four different parties under their jurisdiction.
The incidents have prompted the police to send out a warning to residents, calling the robberies a growing trend.
“We believe that they (robberies) are continuing in an upward trend in the Park road policing area. At this stage we don’t have any evidence to say that there is one specific group involved in these activities, but we are still busy with investigations,” Marope says.
Wesdene, Universitas, Pellissier and Willows are the areas where the crimes took place and no arrests have been made .
