Street races are very scarce. If you have access to anything that has two or three wheels you can join the race,” says Franciis.

“The main reason for this Cycling Festival is to introduce cycling as a sport and to identify talent for the future development. It is more a question of creation of creating an opportunity for the community to take part in a cycling event, bringing the sport to the people. A highlight is also the lucky draw prize at the end of the event,” says Neels.
Every participant will receive a medal at the end of the race. While the category winners will each receive small hampers and the rest of the participants will received lucky draw prizes.

Thereafter primary school learners,s school learners and senior age groups also participated. Between these events the more experienced cyclists educated and assisted the young and less experienced riders.
