Eunice celebrates 140th birthday

MARK STEENBOK

Eunice School for Girls is celebrating its 140th birthday with lots of festival activities planned for this coming weekend.
The formal celebrations started on Monday during assembly with various old girls and former principal Mr Paul Cassar making an
appearance.
Eunice has been renowned for setting the pace. After just 14 weeks in her new role, headmistress Mrs Zinnette de Wet says, "The school has definite strategies, dedicated staff, specialists in their field. For me, the school must stay number one, with girls that can go out there and change the world."
For nearly a century and a half this girls’ school has been a school that proudly affirms its longstanding standards, values and traditions, a school that is committed to academic excellence, quality teaching, social responsibility and multiple opportunities for all-round development.
The school will continue celebrating over the weekend.
