EFF, ANC picketing at Bfn court

Members of the EFF and ANC have gathered outside court in Bloemfontein in support of SABC presenter Dimakatso Ratselane, who was allegedly attacked and stabbed by her estranged husband.

This comes ahead of the appearance of Dimakatso’s husband, McKenzie Ratselane, in the regional court to plea to charges, OFM News reports.

Women from these two political parties have been protesting against the suspect since his arrest in February this year.

They want the latter, who allegedly stabbed Dimakatso multiple times in Bloemfontein, to receive a harsher sentence if found guilty of the crime.

MacKenzie is facing charges ranging from assault, attempted murder, kidnapping, possession of an unlicensed firearm, and ammunition.

He was arrested by the police in Gauteng after he was on the run for few days.
