DJ murder suspect granted R1 000 bail

The suspect accused of murdering Bloemfontein DJ, Thato ‘Blueboy Bond’ Booysen, has been granted R1 000 bail.

Lehlohonolo Cassius Moloele appeared before the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court after he was arrested on Sunday in connection with the murder of Booysen.

Moloele, 34, faces a charge of murder after Booysen was shot four times at Street Corner Braai, a local hangout spot in Bochabela location, Bloemfontein, on Saturday night.

The State prosecutor did not oppose the defence’s bail application as Moloele would probably not be involved in witness intimidation or posed to be a flight risk.

The case has been postponed to 23 November while further investigations continue.
