The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA), says disability grant applicants can now book medical assessment appointments online.
SASSA introduced the online system to reduce long queues and several visits to SASSA local offices and service centres.
The online system allows applicants to do the following:
- To book for medical assessment appointments (to see the SASSA doctor)
- To check bookings details
- To check documents required to complete application for disability grant
- To cancel bookings (applicants are advised to cancel 3 days before the date of the scheduled appointment)
- To check if they qualify for child support grant, foster care grant and old age grant
- To conduct Covid-19 screening test
- To Rate SASSA Office
- To get their application status.
Applicants are advised to have a smart phone and/or computer in order to make the medical assessment appointment.
