Crystal-Donna Roberts remembered through arts bursary

The Free State Arts Festival has announced the Crystal-Donna Roberts Bursary, aimed at honouring the late actress and former University of the Free State student whose passion for the arts left a lasting impression. The bursary will support a postgraduate arts student in any field.

Marijda Kamper, programme manager, says the bursary represents more than just financial aid; it stands as a symbol of inspiration, opportunity and the continuation of a meaningful legacy.

“We hope this bursary will serve as a meaningful tribute to Crystal-Donna Roberts – a way of ensuring that her legacy continues to open doors, create possibilities and accompany another person on their journey. There is something deeply moving in that: from remembrance may come opportunity, and from loss may still emerge renewal.”
