Residents of Botshabelo are warned that excessive water demand is currently affecting water supply in Sections L, H, R, C, D, N, and surrounding areas, especially high-lying areas.
According to the Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality, the ongoing heatwave and irregular rainfall, has significantly increased water consumption. “Non-essential water use are placing significant pressure on water storage levels and the reliability of the water supply.
As a result, residents may experience low water pressure or intermittent supply,” the municipality said.
Residents are urgently requested to conserve water by immediately reducing or stopping irrigation, avoiding all non-essential water use, and ensuring taps are properly closed at all times.
“These measures are essential to protect water storage levels and ensure a reliable water supply for all residents. The City thanks residents for their continued understanding.”
