After the impact Covid-19 has had on the world, Urth Lifestyle Centre will continue presenting their traditional night market, which they established in 2017.
The Bloem Night Market will still be hosted on every first Friday of the month at Urth Lifestyle Centre in Kenneth Kaunda Avenue and this month, it will take place on Friday 7 May 2021.
Visitors can expect good local entertainment, good food and a lovely atmosphere. Bloem Night Market was created for families to have fun, managing director Risna Opperman, said.
They wanted to have a space where parents can dance and enjoy braaivleis and where children can run around until they fall asleep underneath the tables.
Due to the lockdown and the negative impact it had on everyone, their business included, Urth has decided to change the way they do things.
The first change to be implemented is that stall owners will not have to pay a stall fee anymore, however, Urth will take a percentage from the money made from the stalls. This way they will be able to absorb some of the risk, with everyone winning.
Attendees can expect traditional South African cuisine. The Bloem Night Market will also be introducing two stalls that will fulfil the cravings of those with a sweet tooth.
