Rumble BoxFit offers self-defence workshops for women

Siyabonga Tyu will on 24 August host a Self-Defence workshop in response to what he refers to as an “alarming increase in gender-based violence and femicide-related crime in the Free State, especially Bloemfontein at the moment”.

According to the Rumble BoxFit owner, the workshop will empower women of all ages physically, emotionally, and mentally.

He also aims to strengthen attendees with the capacity to defend themselves against potential attacks and in dangerous situations.

“It is to restore confidence among women to take up space and not be afraid of violent misogyny,” he expressed.

The workshop is for all women who are interested and will start at 09:00 to 12:00 at the gym located in Kellner Street, Westdene. Bookings cost R350 per person. Contact 079-696-9667 for more information.
