Kruitberg stun Relebeletse in Syrac final

LEE KHOTLELE

Bloemfontein – Kruitberg Primary School’s under 13 soccer team defended its Syrac League title with a 1-0 win over Relebeletse Primary School in the final match played at the Namibia Young Stars grounds on Monday.

The only goal scored by Washington Luhalila ensured that the defending champions are yet again crowned Bloemfontein champions and subsequently make it to the Motheo regional finals.

The school will represent Bloemfontein alongside winners from Thaba Nchu, Botshabelo, Wepener and Tweespruit for a place in the provincial tournament to take place later this year.

Bloemfontein, as the regional finals hosts, is eligible to take two schools to represent it at the finals.

Therefore, despite the loss, Relebeletse is still in, as it too will represent the City of Roses at the regional finals to take place on Friday, 5th September 2014, at Brebner High School.
