Mangaung Fire and rescue department was called to Kenilworth road in Bainsvlei, where a fire broke out this afternoon.
Braam van Zyl from the Mangaung fire department, mentioned that the cause of the fire is still unknown. “The fire spread over a large area and we therefore had to dispatch three fire engines,” van Zyl added.
Van Zyl further confirmed that there was no malicious damages to property nor any fatalities on site and that the fire was extinguished within two hours.
The head of the Mangaung Fire and rescue department expressed his gratitude towards various volunteers that assisted in dousing the fire.
