Ghana stun South Africa in a friendly

LEE KHOTLELE

Bloemfontein – A second half delicate free kick from Portia Boakye was enough to hand Ghana a 1-0 victory over South African Women Soccer team, Banyana Banyana, in Sunday’s friendly match at the Dobsonville Stadium.

Banyana will leave today for Comoros where they will play in what promises to be an intriguing African Women Championship Qualifier against Comoros on Friday, 23 May 2104.

The match was Vera Pauw’s second in charge of the national side.

She made her coaching debut as Banyana’s mentor in the team’s 2-all draw against northern neighbours, Zimbabwe last month.
