Free State government spokesperson Mondli Mvambi said they always try to create economic opportunities to curb the high unemployment rate the province has in the country.
Mvambi said they acknowledge the outcomes of the unemployment statistics on Tuesday where Free State’s unemployment rate increases from 34.7 percent to 35 percent. He added that they will use concerns that are raised as levels that will grow local economy and stabilize it.
The DA reported that Premier Ace Magashule should adopt a “Free State First Policy” to assist provincial companies to become successful and profitable so that more jobs can be created.
“The people of the Free State are benefitting to the general growth of the economy that is generated by the economic activities that are araise elsewhere. We have got a number of our local people that are working all over the world in economic opportunities that are created by other provinces and countries. We as the province contribute to the growth of the economy on a national level and we have never heard a policy in the province saying Free State Last”,” said Mvambi.
