Eskom should look into mixed power stations that use coal, nuclear and renewable energy in order generate electricity, in the hopes to close the energy shortage gap in the country.
Spokesperson at Institute of Race Relations Mienke Steytler says among the possible options suggested that can help keep Eskom afloat is to hand over the distribution of electricity to an independent operator.
