Destea to host sessions on economic transformation plan in Welkom, Sasolburg

The Free State Department of Economic Development and Tourism (Destea) is set to have face to face interaction sessions with local businesses regarding the Draft Transformation Fund Concept.

According to Destea, these sessions will give Free State business owners the platform to raise their concerns on the concept.

Destea has previously made a call for local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME), and organised businesses and designated groups to provide inputs to the Draft Transformation Concept in the Free State. Members of the public were requested to make inputs and comments on the concept from 08-14 April 2025.

“The fund will serve as an enabler for the 7th administration to transform the economy, eliminate poverty and reduce inequality,” Destea said.

Consultation dates and venues:

23 April: Welkom, Ball Room Hall from 09:30 to 12:30

24 April= Sasolburg, Harry Gwala Multipurpose Center from 09:30 to 12:30
