Deadline for business registration extended

The Free State Department of Economic Development and Tourism (Destea) has notified local businesses that the deadline to register their businesses has been extended to 28 February 2025.

According to the notice, the MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, Ketso Makume has made a call to all business to register their business in accordance to the deadline. These businesses include but is not limited to spaza shops, motor mechanics, and salons.

“Failure to adhere to the stipulated deadline will result in the closure of the business,” Destea warned.

Locals are encouraged to report non-compliance from March 2025 by sending an email to [email protected] or send a Whatsapp message to 082 947 5394.
