Almost time for the annual Bloem Show

Sheep sheering is part of the Bloem Show tradition and very popular among competitors.

The annual Bloem Show will take place from 26 April until 5 May and a jampacked programme is planned for the 10 days.
The Bloem Show is renowned for entertaining visitors with various exhibitors, artists and agricultural activities.
Bloem Show, one of the highlights on the social and agricultural calendar, is visited by more than 100 000 people annually. This event attracts customers and visitors from around the country, as well as an average of 450 local, national and international exhibitors, leading to an economic injection for the Bloem region.

The Bloem Show is a highlight for many children.

The Bloem Show has put in immense effort to invite a variety of artists. Artists include Lloyd Cele, Soweto String Quartet, Lolos, Jo Black and many more. As usual, the SANDF will also have a few demonstrations to entertain the crowds. Motorbike stunts as well as monster truck shows will also form part of the programme.
Several emerging artists will also be performing at this year’s Bloem Show, while a variety of other activities and highlights can be looked forward to.
Farm stall exhibitions will take place daily, with sheep sheer demonstrations also promising to attract visitors from all over.
For the children, there will be kids’ play areas, kids’ care, and should you be interested, the Vodacom train will travel across the show grounds while The Ark, with various animals, can also be visited. The SANDF and Fire Brigade are favourites among children, so bring them along.

Last year’s airshow was a favourite for Bloem Show attendees.

Rates for this year’s show are R80 per person, children under the age of 12 years pay R30 and pensioners also pay R30. Children under the age of 6 years enter for free.
Parents with children under 6 years can purchase a name armband at the gate for R2, where the child’s name and contact number can be placed in case of a child getting lost.
Schools that plan to visit Bloem Show in groups, must please note that prior registration is required for a visit to the show. No school groups will be allowed entry without prior reservation. Please contact the Bloem Show office for assistance.

The show grounds and activities close at 22:00, except on public holidays, Fridays and Saturdays when it will be closing at 23:00. On Sunday the show grounds will close at 19:00.
