Body of half-naked woman found at soccer field

Police in Botshabelo are investigating a case of murder after the body of a woman was found next to a soccer field in Section H2, Botshabelo.

The body was discovered by a security officer who was on his way to work on 19 July 2017 at about 05:15 when he saw the body and alerted the police. The police went to the scene immediately.

Police spokesperson, Sergeant Martin Xuma, said police discovered the half-naked body nearby stones that had blood on them.

“The deceased was wearing black track pants, a black and blue jersey and black and white Puma sneakers. She could be 30 years of age, she is dark in complexion and 1, 70 meters tall.  Her identity is not known at this stage,” added Xuma.
